How to get to ICE

The Independent College Enterprise is located on the campus of the University of Charleston. After you arrive through the main entrance you will take a right. The ICE offices are located on the bottom floor of Riggelman Hall. We are directly accross the hall from University Computing rooms 104 and 105.

Airport

Yeager Airport (CRW) is approximately 10 minutes from ICE.

Driving Directions

From the airport:

1. Travel Airport Rd. to I-64 and proceed west to the Oakwood Rd. exit.
2. Follow the signs to Route 61 South toward Marmet.
3. Travel approximately 1.5 miles on Route 61 South (MacCorkle Ave.).
4. The University of Charleston is on the left.
   

Directions from hotels to ICE (driving time 5-10 minutes)

1. Exit the parking lot onto Lee St. Follow Lee St. for approx. ½ mile.
2. Turn RIGHT onto Dickinson St. Follow Dickinson over the Kanawha River and get in the right hand lane.
3. At the end of the bridge, take a right at the first light onto Ferry St.
4. Take the first right ( MacCorkle Ave. East). Follow MacCorkle Ave for approx. 1 mile.
5. At the second stoplight, turn left onto the campus of University of Charleston
6. At the “T” in the road, turn right.
7. Turn left at the sign marked “Overflow Parking” and park on the large lot.
8. Enter through the doors at the top of the steps at the end of the building (Riggleman Hall). ICE’s offices are downstairs, through the doors, first door on the left (Room 105). The classroom is across the hallway (Room 107).

Directions from ICE to hotels (driving time 5-10 minutes)

1. Exiting the UC campus, turn right at the stoplight onto MacCorkle Ave.
2. At the second light, turn left, then left again at the “T” in the road.
3. Follow the street up the ramp to the stoplight, then turn left and cross the Kanawha River.
4. Go straight through 3 stoplights, then at the next light turn right onto Washington St.
5. Proceed down Washington Street for approx. ½ mile; both the Embassy Suites and the Marriot are on the left.

Driving To ICE?

From the north:

1. Travel I-77 South or I-79 South into Charleston.
2. Follow signs to I-64 West.
3. Take Oakwood Road exit 58A.
4. Follow the signs to Route 61 South -Marmet.
5. Travel approximately 1.5 miles on Route 61 South.
6. The campus is on the left.

From the south:

1. Travel I-77 North (West Virginia Turnpike).
2. Take MacCorkle Ave. exit 95
3. Follow the signs to Route 61 North
4. Travel approximately 2 miles on Route 61 North (MacCorkle Ave.).
5. The campus is on the right.
   

From the east:

1. Travel I-64 West or I-79 South.
2. From I-79 follow signs to I-64 West. From I-64, go through downtown Charleston (ignore the UC sign at MacCorkle Ave).
3. Take Oakwood Road exit 58A.
4. Follow the signs to Route 61 South-Marmet. (MacCorkle Ave.).
5. Travel approximately 1.5 miles on Route 61 South (MacCorkle Ave.).
6. The campus is on the left.
   

From the west:

1. Travel I-64 East to Charleston.
2. Take Oakwood Road exit 58A.
3. Follow the signs to Route 61 South-Marmet (MacCorkle Ave.)
4. Travel approximately 1.5 miles on Route 61 South (MacCorkle Ave.).
5. The campus is on the left.
