Dr. Barry is currently serving as the chair of the ICE board and the president of Alderson Broaddus University. Previously, Dr. Barry acted as vice president of advancement at Elmira College in Elmira, N.Y., vice president of development for People to People International, executive director at Newman Catholic Student Center at the University of Iowa; president of St. Edmond School System in Fort Dodge, Iowa and Mount Marty College in Yankton, South Dakota. He is a former member of the Board of Directors of the Council of Independent Colleges.
President, Davis & Elkins College
President Wood, a native of Huntington, West Virginia, became the 15th president of Davis & Elkins College on August 1, 2016. He previously served as vice president for advancement at Wesley College in Dover, Delaware, and in the same position at the University of Mount Olive in Mount Olive, North Carolina. President Wood is an ordained United Methodist pastor and served congregations in Illinois and Maryland.
President, Stillman College
Dr. Cynthia Warrick is Stillman’s 7th and first female President on April 24, 2017. A pharmacist and health services researcher, Dr. Warrick has 20 years of Higher Education. Other executive leadership positions included Interim President of Grambling State University and South Carolina State University. Dr. Warrick began her academic career on the faculty of Howard University followed by appointments at several Texas and Florida universities.
MARTIN S. ROTH
Dr. Roth was named UC’s President in 2018. He came from the Barney School of Business at the University of Hartford, where he served as Dean and Professor of Management & Marketing. He was previously Chair of the Sonoco International Business Department at the University of South Carolina’s Darla Moore School of Business and also served as Executive Director of the flagship International MBA Program, and as the School’s Chief Innovation & Assessment Officer. He has taught global marketing management, foreign market entry and growth, and strategy courses, for which he has won numerous teaching awards.
President, WV Wesleyan College
Dr. Theirstein became WV Wesleyan College’s nineteenth president on July 5, 2017. He previously served as a vice-president and interim president at Mount St. Joseph University, provost and vice president for academic affairs at Kentucky State University, associate provost at Rice University. and executive director of Connexions.
CFO, University of Charleston
Treasurer, ICE Board Ex Officio member
Cleta joined the University of Charleston as CFO in April 2001 and has served as the Treasurer of ICE since that time. She was a member of the initial implementation team that converted the original five ICE schools to a shared administrative computing system and continues to serve on the Strategic Advisory Council (SAC) for ICE. Prior to higher education, Cleta worked in public accounting and in banking where she gained experience in general ledger system management, auditing, financial and regulatory reporting, data conversions and management information systems.
President, Bethany College
The Rev. Dr. Rodenberg became Bethany's 20th President on January 1, 2016. She previously served as Brite’s Vice President for Advancement. Prior to her arrival at Brite in 2011, she completed a two-year intentional interim presidency at the Disciples Seminary Foundation, Claremont, California.
President, Emory & Henry College
Dr. Wells became the twenty-second president of Emory & Henry College on July 1, 2019 after having served as its chief academic officer since 2017. Previous to Emory & Henry Wells had over 20 years’ of student success experience working in administrative and academic positions at Mars Hill University, Young Harris College and Carson-Newman University. Dr. Wells also served on several boards for the United Methodist Church.
Acting President, Tusculum University
Dr. Greg Nelson was a member of the university’s Board of Trustees starting in 2014. He served as its chairman in 2017 until the board appointed him Tusculum’s acting president, August 2019. During his time as chairman, Tusculum converted from a college to a university and established an optometry program. Nelson was a longtime research and development leader for a Fortune 500 company.
President, William Peace University
Secretary, ICE Board
Dr. Ralph is the 11th president of William Peace University and took office in July 2015. Dr. Ralph is currently serving as the secretary on the ICE board. Dr. Ralph’s career includes leadership roles at Hocking College in Ohio, Bethany College in West Virginia and Queens University in North Carolina.
President, Wheeling University
Ginny Favede was appointed 13th President of Wheeling University on October 7, 2019, after serving as a board member and being elected chair in July 2019. Ms. Favede held the position of Executive Director at OVCEC Contractors Association since 2017 and Belmont County Commissioner between 2009 and 2017.
Chief Executive Officer, ICE Board Ex Officio member
January 2012 Shelley came to ICE as a seasoned business and IT professional; believing that technology must align with business need and strategy. Following several years in Admissions where she led a Colleague Implementation, Shelley spent the next 20 years in IT building and managing a structure to support technology that met the needs of stakeholders and the business. Before working in education, Shelley served as a hospital administrator and a software project manager.
